VimpelCom says buys advertising platform OTM

MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator VimpelCom, working under brand Beeline, has acquired advertising group Online Technology and Media (OTM) to strengthen its presence on the market of advertising technologies, the operator said on Wednesday in a statement.

OTM owns a technological platform that automatizes and plans purchases of Internet advertisements, VimpelCom said.

The operator reiterated that Veon Ventures, part of Amsterdam-headquartered VEON, the sole owner of VimpelCom, acquired in 2021 the majority stake in the head unit of OTM, which now passed into the hands of the operator.

OTM will remain independent and keep its current management. “In the future, it is planned to expand the geography of OTM’s work to the markets of the VEON group presence,” the company said.
